Mass of Christian Burial for Donald A. Lombardy, Sr., age 90, will be 9:30 am Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church 242 North State Street Painesville. Friends will be received from 6-8 pm Thursday at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville. A lifetime Painesville resident, Don was born on May 25, 1924 in Painesville He passed away on August 4, 2014 at his residence. He attended Harvey High School Donald served in the US Army during World War II, participating in the Pacific Theatre. Mr. Lombardy was a member of, St. Mary Church V.F. W. Post 7754 in Fairport Harbor Hungarian Culture Club American Slovenian Club Enjoyed, Gardening, Fishing, Bowling, Golfing, Wine Making, Polka Dancing, and Woodworking Don retired in 1974 from the Diamond-Shamrock Corp where he was a Pipefitter and from the former Lake East Hospital where he worked in the Maintenance Dept.

(Patti) Lombardy, Jr. of Painesville Daughters, Mary Jane Lombardy of Painesville Norene Lombardy of Willowick Grandchildren, David and Daniel Lombardy Katie, Matt (Amy), and Kristina Hill Brothers, Nicholas and Charles Lombardy of Painesville Andrew Lombardy of Madison Sisters, Marie Puelo of Perry Geraldine Ace of Canal Fulton Judith Bradenbaugh of Painesville Rita Van Hess of Mentor Preceded in death by, Wife, Rose (Grillo) Lombardy in 2006 Parents, Andrew and Mary (Cardina) Lombardy Sisters, Theresa Fleming and Dolores Bradenbaugh Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Painesville Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project
