Mass of Christian Burial for George Lassnick, Sr., age 85, will be 10:00am Saturday at St Patrick Catholic Church, 16550 Rock Creek Road in Thompson, PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH FOR SERVICES. Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, Friday at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville.

George was the son of Stanley and Carrie (Omstick) born on December 18, 1930 in Grand River Ohio and passed away January 20. 2016 at his home.

George was the owner of Lassnick Excavating Co. in Leroy Twp. He enjoyed farming and spending time with his family

He is survived by: Daughters: Beth (Bill) Heinz; Shirley (Terry) Baideme; Sue (Ken) Blakely, all of Leroy Twp.

Son: George (Wendy) Lassnick Jr. of Leroy Twp.

12 Grandchildren: Brian and Greg Heinz; Hannah and Wyatt Blakely; Emma and Millie McBride; Brianna and Garrett Baideme; George III, Layne, Sam and Hope Lassnick.

Preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Shirley E. (Aikey) Lassnick, his daughter, Martha McBride, and 9 siblings.

Interment will be in Williams Cemetery in Leroy Township.
