Teresa "Tess" A. Bender, age 91, of Painesville, passed away December 30, 2022 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Hts., OH. She was born July 19, 1931 in Fairport Harbor, OH to Charles Joseph and Mary (Ondo) Palinsky.

She was a customer claims analyst for Fasson Avery Dennison, member of St. Anthony's Church, President of the Altar Rosary Guild, Member of Legion of Mary, Senecal of Mary, Bereavement Committee and Parish Life Commission. Tess enjoyed Painting (Student of the Artful Hand since 2002) and reading, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. She was known for her quick wit, numerous jokes and the amazing foods she prepared. She had a way of supporting and encouraging anyone who crossed her path. With her loving, generous and warm nature, Tess was always there to offer help, support or a prayer. She took joy in serving the Lord.

Tess is survived by her daughters, Kim Bender and Kellee Benedict. Granddaughters Jennifer (Jason) Basiger, and Andrea (David) Musial, great-grandchildren Jayden, Brady, Ellie, Amelia, Davey and Millie, and beloved niece and friend Alice Rose Sabo, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Monte D. Bender and son, Kyle Bender.

Memorial visitation will be held 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday January 2, 2023 at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville.

A Memorial Mass will be held 11 AM Tuesday January 3, 2023 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Fairport Harbor, OH.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Anthony Church or the American Cancer Society.
