Thelma Whitely, age 84, passed away September 19, 2021, at her residence in Painesville Township.  She was born January 15, 1937, in Edgerton, Ohio, to Oscar and Gladys (Kissaberth) Maier.

Thelma was employed by Mosack's in Mentor for many years.  She was a member of Calvary Fellowship Baptist Church, loved listening to country and gospel music, crocheting, knitting, and doing word search puzzles.  She also enjoyed going out to eat with family and friends.

Thelma is survived by her husband, Ray Whitely, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Levon Maier, Marvin Maier, Darryl Maier and Melvin Maier; sisters, Leona Tirpak and Vereda Atkins.

A Graveside Service for Thelma will be held 11:00am Saturday, October 23rd at Riverside cemetery.
