Thomas W. Bishop, age 88, passed away March 13, 2023, at Wickliffe Country Place.  He was born November 24, 1934, in Peoria Heights, Illinois to William and Hazel (Strunk) Bishop.

Thomas was a computer tech engineer and worked for Bailey Controls Corp. for many years.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Painesville where he was a deacon, sang in the choir, and taught Sunday school. He enjoyed fixing things especially electronics, radios, TVs, etc.

He enjoyed being around his family doing family fun outings, dinners, picnics, movies, camping trips etc.  He enjoyed watching his Beloved Browns, Guardians and Cavs games.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Gwenda (Neher) Bishop; sons, Daniel (Judy) Bishop and Andrew Bishop; daughters, Victoria (David) Nelson and Patricia (Richard) Knapp; sister, Marilyn Bishop, grandchildren, Joshua and Michael Knapp, Stephanie and Christopher Nelson, Christian, Sarah and Jack Bishop; great grandchild, Delilah Floyd.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Bishop; brother, Jack Bishop; and his parents.

Friends will be received 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 16, 2023, at First Baptist Church, 10801 Johnnycake Ridge Road in Painesville.  Funeral services will be held immediately following at 11:00 AM at the church.  Inurnment will take place at a later date at Riverside Cemetery.
