Thomas Guerra, age 90, passed away February 9, 2023, at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born July 17, 1932, in Painesville to Charles and Carmella (Tamburro) Guerra.

Thomas was a proud military veteran, serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked in the family business at Guerra's Market and the Mayfair Restaurant in Painesville for many years. In later years, he became a real estate appraiser.

If he was not wearing his Korean War ball cap, he was probably wearing a Cleveland sports team cap. He followed all of the Cleveland teams.  At Harvey High School, he played football and baseball. He especially loved to reminisce about playing baseball with his brother, Chuck at Painesville Township Park. Chuck was the team's pitcher, and Tom was the catcher.

In recent years, Tom served on the Painesville City Senior Board, and worked on his family genealogy. He really enjoyed spending time with family. Game days with the grandchildren were a favorite. Finally, he was happy to be involved at Painesville First Church of Christ. At First Church, he learned that the word of God teaches that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ alone. His family is comforted to know that he is with his Savior.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Janet (Smith) Guerra; children, Tricia (Russell) Durst, Thomas (Melissa) Guerra, Jennifer (Glen) Kramer; grandchildren, Bryson and Trevor Durst, Isabella, Collin, and Nathan Guerra, Derek and Shaina Larner, Kerrie and Jacob Kramer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Anthony Guerra, Michael Guerra, Mary Covell, John Guerra, Lena Davis, Virginia Murch, and Chuck Guerra, and son-in-law Brian Larner.

Friends will be received 4:00PM-7:00PM on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at the funeral home.
