Thomas A. Nau, age 74, passed away May 6, 2022, at his residence in Leroy Township.  He was born March 15, 1948, in Cleveland to Christian Henry Nau Jr. and Matilda (Resnik) Nau.

Thomas was a mechanical engineer and worked for Lubrizol in Wickliffe for 40 years. He was a Leroy resident for over 50 years.

He was detail oriented and enjoyed working on anything that he could improve, especially engines.  Tom could always find a way to fix any project and loved creating new ideas.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Gail (Cowdrey) Nau; sons, Josh (Jim) Nau and Gabe (Cindy) Nau; daughter, Chelsea (Brian) Workman; brothers, Dave (Bonnie) Nau, Greg (Cindy) Nau and Chris (Pat) Nau; grandchildren, Halley Nau, Logan Workman, and Tanner Workman.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Nau, and his parents.

Family and friends will be received from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Monday, May 9, 2022, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio 44077.

A private graveside service for family and close friends will be held at Williams Cemetery in Leroy immediately following services.
