Funeral services for Thomas C. Ryan will be held on Saturday, July 16 at 2:00 pm at the Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, OH.  Friends will be received from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.

Mr. Ryan was born in Cleveland on December 17, 1944 to James P. Ryan and Martha (Root) Matthews and passed away July 11, 2016 at Tri Point Medical Center in Concord Township.

Thomas served in the United States Air Force in Viet Nam.  He was a member of the Perry Amvets,  American Legion Post 336 and the Painesville V. F. W.    He was a history buff and was interested in politics. He also enjoyed his phone conversations with friends and family, reading and playing solitaire on his phone.

He is survived by his sons, Brandon (Tammy) Ryan of Rock Creek, Creighton (Natashia) Ryan of Rivesville, WV.   Grandsons, Austin, Avery, Owen and Emersen Ryan.  Brothers, Mark Ryan of Cherry Valley, CA.  Dennis Ryan of Painesville, James Ryan of Columbus and Steve Ryan of San Diego, CA.   Sisters, Jill Matthews of Columbus and Jane Matthews also of Columbus.   Former Wife, Toni Ryan of Painesville.
