Memorial services for Walter B. Liddle, aged 68, will be 8:00 pm Thursday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home; 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville. Friends will be received from 6-8 pm Thursday. Mr. Liddle passed away on July 5, 2014 at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby. A Painesville resident for many years, he was born on December 21, 1945 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Walter graduated from Riverside High School class of 1963 and graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Business Administration in 1967. Mr. Liddle was an automobile salesman for Classic BMW where he was presented the "Salesman of the Year Award". He also had been a Commercial Loan Sales Officer. He was a past treasurer of the Lake County Small Businessmen's Association and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Lake County. Walter was a pitcher for the Phillies minor league club, the Citizen Savings Baseball Team. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, hiking, biking, and handling hot air balloons.

Walter is survived by daughters Christine A. (James) VanDerlin of Akron, Lauren Bremer of Mentor, Stephanie Feltes of Las Vegas, NV, and sons David Liddle of Painesville and Donald (Therese) Provident of Mentor; grandchildren Jeffrey Bremer, Shelby Sorrell, Elise Provident, Zak Klco, Emma Klco, Zack Feltes, Chloe Feltes, Xander Feltes, and Dominic VanDerlin.

Walter was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Carol (Credico) Liddle in 2012, and his parents Joseph and Helen (Baker) Liddle.

Burial will be in Perry Cemetery.
