Funeral services for Wiljo W. Latva Jr., age 75, will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.    Friends will be received 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM before the service, at the funeral home.   Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Wiljo was born December 8, 1944 in Painesville to Wiljo W. Latva Sr. and Elizabeth (Anttila) Latva.  He passed away August 24, 2020 at Lake Med Rehab Center in Painesville Township.

Wiljo retired from the City of Painesville Water Department.  He was an active member of Painesville United Methodist Church for many years.

He enjoyed fishing, reading, and traveling the country.

Wiljo is survived by his granddaughters, Amanda (Alex) Frank, Brittany (Nicolas) Bragg, and Crystal Root; grandson, Daniel Root; great grandchildren, Jackson, Luca, Evelynn, James, Lillian, Lexi, James, Alyssa and Daizee; brothers, Sherwood Latva, Marvin Latva and Gary Latva.

He was preceded in death by his wife Arlene Latva in 2016; son, Daniel K. Root in 2015; daughter, Debra Coradi in 2015, and his parents.
