Graveside services for William C. (Bear) Guynn age 68 of Painesville will be Monday at 10:00 am at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd. Rittman, Ohio 44270. Family and friends may call from 2-5 pm Sunday at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
Bill was born on January 6, 1948 in Painesville and passed away May 30, 2016 at Tri Point Medical Center in Concord Township.
He worked for IRC Fibers, Hall Chemical for 30 years, and Plating Process Systems for 10 years. Bill proudly served in the U.S. Army in the 9th Infantry Division in Vietnam and was awarded several medals. Bill was an avid bowler and spent countless hours at Mar Val Lanes and Rich's. He loved to hunt and had recently taken up golf. He loved raising his grandson David and going to his sporting events.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Bullis Guynn whom he married on April 1, 1983, his sons, Chip and David Sr (Johnna Babuscak). Bill has three grandchildren: David Jr, Aiden, and Easton Guynn. He is also survived by his brother and sister, David A (Jerry) Guynn and Ginger (Guynn) Beres both of Colorado, and in-laws Filamena Guynn of Mentor, Frank (Marion) Bullis of Washington, Glenn (Marilyn) Bullis of Willoughby, Dorothy (Jim) Gregory of Michigan and Jim (Barb) Bullis of Florida. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins will also be missing him. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Dorothy (McCoy) Guynn and brother, James C. Guynn.
