William C. Milnes, age 69, passed away October 29, 2023, at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland.  He was born February 23, 1954, in Wurzburg, Germany to Robert and Betty (VanMeter) Milnes.

William worked for Stanley Assembly Technologies for over 38 years, retiring in 2016.  He enjoyed woodworking, golfing, playing horseshoes and cornhole, and landscaping his yard.  William was a nature lover and he also enjoyed taking walks in the local parks.

William's passion for sports included playing football at Eastlake North, teaching his children how to compete whether it be football, baseball, basketball or softball.  Coaching youth football in Willowick and spending countless hours cheering on his grandchildren at the ball fields.

William is survived by his wife, Nancy (Heck) Milnes; children, Mike (Diane) Milnes and Carey (Eric) Aquero; grandchildren, Bethany, Samuel, Elianna, Tyler, Hannah, Joshua, Jordynn, and Timothy; brother, Robert (Donna) Milnes.  William also had a very close relationship with his father-in-law Merritt Heck.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received 2:00- 4:00 PM, Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00 PM.
