William D. Secrist, age 83, passed away at Governor's Point Retirement Home in Mentor, Ohio, on December 12, 2022.  He was born on June 6, 1939, in Monongahela, Pennsylvania.

William was in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962. He loved telling stories and going to the Fairport Senior Center. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and good friends.

He is survived by his son, Daniel (Donna) Secrist; sisters; Nan McCrory and Josephine Davis; grandchildren, Gregory, Christopher, and Amanda Secrist.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan A. (Owens) Secrist in 2009 and his father, Daniel Secrist.

Friends and family will be received 4:00 PM-7:00 PM on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave, Painesville, Ohio.  A memorial Service will be held directly after calling hours at 7:00 PM.  Graveside services will be held at a later date.
