Obituary

Wren Cavender was called to heaven peacefully while her husband was by her side on Feb. 11, 2015. Wren was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on July 12, 1954, but grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. While being a devoted wife, raising two small children, Wren went to school and became the first paralegal in Lake County, Ohio. She loved the outdoors and working with her flowers; she was known for being quite the rosarian. All the neighbors would stop by and admire her numerous and luscious flower beds. Wren enjoyed taking ceramic classes, and most of the lawn ornaments were made by her. She was also a wonderful cook and baker, supplying professional looking cakes to her family, friends and church, even made a scale model of St. Paul's for their 50th anniversary. Wren was a devoted member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, loved to sing in the church choir and also participated in The Messiah presentation in Lake County for several years. She is survived by husband Ray Cavender; daughter Summer Lee Pociask, of Port St. Lucie Florida; son Lee Cavender of Parma, Ohio; grandchildren Sabrina and Mason Pociask, of Port St. Lucie, Florida; mother Merelyn Johnson of Concord Twp. Ohio; brother Richard (Carol) Johnson of Chesterland, Ohio; nephews, Richard D. Johnson of Lyndhurst, Ohio and Chris Johnson of Garfield Heights, Ohio; niece Kim Hehman (David) of Grover City, Ohio.
