Anita G. (Tromp) Kidder, a devoted wife, loving mother, and lifelong resident of Painesville Township, peacefully passed away surrounded by her beloved family on March 21st, 2026, at Mentor Ridge in Mentor, OH. She was 86 years old.
Born on December 22, 1939, in Painesville, Ohio, Anita proudly graduated from Harvey High School. Her passion for cooking and baking brought immense joy to her family and friends. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, playing computer games, solving crossword puzzles, taking bus trips, and visiting the casino. Above all, she cherished the moments spent with her family and many friends.
Anita retired from Bank One and had also worked at Bard and Candy Flowers.
She is survived by her sons, John (Robin) Kidder, Jim (Laura) Kidder, and Mike (Patti) Kidder; her beloved nieces, Laurie Fryman, and Joan (Tim) Kuhn; her grandson Marshall Kidder; as well as four step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Husband William E. Kidder; her parents, John and Laura (Conley) Tromp; Her brothers; Jerry Whitely, John Tromp, and Hans Tromp; sisters, Betty Dye and Janice J. (Tromp) Hagy.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff at Mentor Ridge, for their compassion and kindness, with special thanks to Bella Care Hospice.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no memorial service, with a private interment. Arrangements are entrusted to Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home.
