Betty L. Replogle, age 81, passed away on September 6, 2025, in the Leroy Township home she cherished. Born on June 4, 1944, in Nashville, Tennessee, Betty lived a life filled with grit, heart, and adventure.
Betty was a nurse by profession, spending many years caring for others at Madison Health Care. Her strength and compassion were felt not only by her patients but by everyone who was lucky enough to know her.
Outside of work, Betty’s true passions shone through. She was an avid horsewoman who logged thousands of miles in the saddle, exploring trails, making friends, and collecting stories along the way. Horses were more than a hobby to her—they were her joy and her freedom. She also found peace and purpose in nature, whether she was photographing a sunset, tending to her flower gardens, or simply taking in the quiet beauty around her.
Betty loved to nurture her family. Her kitchen was always open, her table always full, and her garden always in bloom. She delighted in cooking for family and friends, capturing moments through her camera lens, and filling her home with life. Tough yet tender, independent yet deeply devoted, she lived life on her own terms and never gave up easily—a quality that surprised no one who knew her well.
She leaves behind her daughter, April (Keith) Schroeder; her sons, Tim (Michelle) Replogle and Jim Replogle; and her grandchildren, Isabel, Adam (Sam), Jacob (Ashley), Allison, Kelsey, Kacey, Rudy, and Ryan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James H. Replogle, in 2024; her daughter, Brigett McGuire; her grandchild, Katie; and her mother, Lois Underwood.
A memorial service for both Betty and her husband, James, will be held at Leroy Community Chapel, 12920 Painesville-Warren Road, Leroy Township, Ohio, on Saturday, September 13th, at 1 p.m. All are invited to attend. Please join the family for lunch afterward at the Cornerstone Building at the church. Burial will be at Williams Cemetery at a later date.
In honor of Betty’s lifelong love of horses, donations may be made to Copper Horse Crusade in Massillon, OH, or Fieldstone Farm Therapeutic Riding Center in Chagrin Falls, OH.
