Beverly A. Shaffer

Beverly A. Shaffer age 73 of Thompson, was the daughter of Hugh and Catherine Shaffer born on February 2, 1951, in Rowlesburg, West Virginia.  She passed away September 7, 2024, at UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital.

Beverly was an Administrator for the Head Start Program for over 20 years.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  Beverly and Johnnie were married for 50 years.  She loved children and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Beverly is survived by her sons, Johnnie E. (Michelle) Shaffer Jr., Tyler Shaffer; daughters, Cassondra (William) Burch, Carri Shaffer, Catisha Shaffer; grandchildren, Haley, Branden and Karista; great grandchildren, Wyatt and Lucas Buckholtz; sisters, Kenetta Moreland and Linda Goff.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Earl Shaffer in 2020, brothers,  Buddy Shaffer and William Shaffer, sister, Katherine Shields, and her parents.

Family and friends may call Wednesday September 11, 2024, from 4:00 -6:00 PM at the Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave. Painesville.  Funeral services are Thursday, September 12th at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.   The burial will take place immediately following the service at Perry Cemetery, 3840 Middle Ridge Rd. Perry, OH 44081.
