Bryan Lynn McIlvain

Bryan Lynn McIlvain, age 81, of Willoughby, Ohio, passed away on October 15th, 2023 at The Preserve Senior Living at Mentor Ridge. He was born July 20, 1942 in Yorkville to Walter and Helen McIlvain. Bryan enjoyed the quiet life.

He spent his career as a mechanic working at various auto dealerships throughout Northeast Ohio. The last 12 years of his career were working for the City of Willoughby until his retirement in 2002. He enjoyed helping folks work on their cars, and collecting pocket knives. In his retirement, he liked going to flea markets to find his next treasure. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, whom he married on February 1, 1964. Together, they created a wonderful family. He is survived by his son Nick (Sharon) McIlvain, daughter, Shayna (Brian) Jackson. Grandchildren; Nicholas (Shauntaye) McIlvain, Ryan McIlvain, Katie McIlvain (fiancé Ryan Klueg), Colin Jackson, and James Jackson. He was also blessed with his first great grandchild Nicholas McIlvain.

A Celebration of Life for Bryan will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made in his name to Hospice of the Western Reserve in Euclid or Crossroads Health in Mentor.
