Carole Ann Cottage, age 85, passed away December 1, 2023, at Vista Springs in Concord Township, Ohio. She was born August 28, 1938, in Morgantown, West Virginia to Chester and Evelyn (Walsh) Moore.
Carole was a secretary for the Mentor School System for over 32 years. She was a member of North Mentor Centenary United Methodist Church, worked there as a secretary, and enjoyed volunteering for many projects. Family was everything to Carole and she always looked forward to family gatherings. She sincerely loved her children and grandchildren, and she had a special fondness for her “grand-dogs”.
Our Mama was an amazing lady who always loved and cared for everyone. If you were lucky enough to have met her, you would be forever changed by her beautiful smile, positivity, and to appreciate all that God has given.
She had a gift with children. They met her and knew the moment she said hello, they were the most important person in the room. She made that difference with those that were lucky enough to be family and those she worked with daily.
Her love for her nieces, nephews, sisters, brothers, grandchildren, and friends will truly leave a place in their hearts that is void without her.
Live each day to the fullest despite what it may bring. And always remember to smile and laugh never taking a moment for granted. She will be so missed by all the lives she touched.
Carole is survived by her son, Andrew (Anna) Cottage; daughter, Denice (Ed) Winter; grandchildren, Alexa Cottage, Gera Cottage, and Faith Cottage; brothers, Robert (Jeannie) Moore and David (Risa) Moore; sisters, Marian (Ed) Cheslock, Jean Johnston, and Shirley (Lee) Kidd.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew F. Cottage and her parents.
Family and friends will be received 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 6th at North Mentor Centenary United Methodist Church, 9290 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor. Burial will be at Mentor Cemetery.
