Delbert L Lehmann

Delbert Lehmann 73 of Painesville, OH died on Saturday April 6, 2024, at University Hospital in Cleveland Ohio. Delbert was born in Giddings Texas on November 24, 1950.  

Delbert is survived by his wife of 40 years Barbara (Lentz), and his two children Tracey (Jon) Stehura and Daniel (Jamie) Gornowich.

Delbert was predeceased in life by his mother and father, Herbert Lehmann and Gertrude (Herzog) and his brothers Bobby and Jimmie Lehmann.

Delbert has seven grandchildren Katrina (Ramsey), Callisto (Raymus), Daniel, Ashleigh, Kyle, Kyra and Kaelyn.

He also has five great grandchildren Skylar, Ivan, Christopher, Harley, and Salem.

Delbert will be sorely missed by his brother-in-law, Thayne and sister-in-law, Carol, as well as his numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Although a roofer by trade for more than 50 years, Delbert was also a skilled handyman at many other things. There wasn’t a project or craft that you could give him that he couldn’t accomplish. He liked to spend his time in his garage workshop, piddling with whatever little project he had going on at the time. Our home is a testament to his many skills in home remodeling and craftsmanship.

He spent a large amount of time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren doing whatever it is that a Papa seems to do best.

For the past 14 years he has been the neighborhood handyman in our little Painesville community with a waiting list of neighbors needing his help.

Delbert will be much missed and was well loved by all that who knew him.

A celebration of life memorial will be scheduled at a later date. I will keep all advised of when it will happen.
