Diane M. Williams, age 77, passed away March 3, 2026, at University Hospital West Medical Center in Willoughby. She was born, March 2, 1949, in Painesville to Julius Holnapy and Marie (Deckelman) Holnapy.
Diane was the payroll supervisor for Mentor Public School District for many years, retiring in 2019.
Diane was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church, where she was involved in the lunch program and served as a eucharistic minister and acolyte. She was also a member of the Perry Senior Center. She enjoyed crafting, shopping, playing cards and bingo. She spent time baking and making homemade candy. Diane had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her cats. Her love for Hallmark could be seen through her Christmas decorations every year and with the Hallmark channel playing 24/7.
Diane is survived by her son, Jody (Laura) Williams; daughters, Jamie (Michael) Cave and Jessica (Timothy) Cobb; sisters, Harriet (Bob) Lawson and Sharon (Ron) Simmons; grandchildren, Kassidy, Conner, Chloe, Mikey, Kurtis and Mikaylah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale R. Williams in 2021; son, Jeremy Paul Williams; brother, Paul Foster; sister, Julie Lavine; bonus mom, Betty Holnapy, and grandparents, Andrew and Lucille Deckelman, Lajos and Helen Holnapy.
Friends will be received 4:00 -7:00 PM, Friday, March 13, 2026, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 14th, at the funeral home. Burial will be at South Ridge Cemetery in Perry.
