Dianne Dee Vihtelic

Dianne “Dee” Vihtelic, age 83, passed away January 24, 2025, at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland.  She was born March 6, 1941, in Painesville to Elmer “Poppa Jack” Brockway and Edna (Nardico) Brockway.

Dee worked for the Lake County Recorder’s Office as a microfilm technician for many years.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers, and spending time in her beautiful home by the river.  She was very fond of her pets, Princess, Maggie and Ozzy.  But most of all she loved the times she had with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dee is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Vihtelic; sons, Trent Seeds and Todd Seeds; step-son, Robert N. (Marilyn) Vihtelic; step-daughters, Judy Stricker-White and Mary (Donny) Gress; sisters, Janice (Keith) Baker and Danya “Danny” Morgan; grandchildren, Nicole Novak, Donny (Skylar) Gress, Mikayla Gress, William Mattingly, and Nicholas Mattingly; great grandchildren, Valicity Novak, Ben Novak, Remi Vihtelic, Sydney Vihtelic and Evelynn Marie Mattingly; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracy Burns; brother, Butch Brockway and her parents.

Celebration of Dee’s life will be held May 16, 2025 at Painesville Township Park Community Center, 1025 Hardy Road, Painesville Township, Ohio, from 6:00 PM tp 9:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made in Dee’s name to Hospice of the Western Reserve, P. O. Box 72101, Cleveland, Ohio 44192.
