Donna J Occhionero

Donna J. Occhionero, age 89, passed away June 3, 2025, in Mentor, Ohio.  She was born December 9, 1935, in Cleveland to Edwin Lyon and Erla (Adams) Lyon.  

Donna was a homemaker and enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom, surrounded by God and her family.  She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her son, Lenny Occhionero; daughters, Cindy  (Keith) Kolish, and Toni  (Rich) Starman; grandchildren, Keith Kolish Jr, Justin Occhionero and Ashley Occhionero; great grandchildren Kayden Bryant and Trinity Shaffer; sister Cheryl (Ken) Konet; and multiple nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lenin Anthony Occhionero;  son, Edward Occhionero; grandson, Nicholas Kolish; brothers Eddy Lyon and Terry Lyon; and her parents.

Friends will be received 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Friday, June 6, 2025, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.   Funeral Services will immediately follow.  Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 7, 2025, at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio.

Special thanks to the nurses and aids at CareCore at Mentor and Western Reserve Hospice for the love and care they gave Donna during her final journey on Earth.
