Douglas S. Advey, age 58, passed November 3, 2023, at Tripoint Medical Center in Concord Township. He was born April 2, 1965, in Painesville to Robert J. and Ruth (Alden) Advey.
Douglas was a life-time Painesville resident and a 1983 graduate of Riverside High School. He was the general manager and owner of ProVision Impression, since 1995. Doug was a member of the Elks – BPOE #549, Sons of The American Legion and the Hungarian Culture Club in Fairport. He was a former basketball coach for John R. Williams High School, and he also coached Painesville Little League and Senior League.
Doug is survived by his wife, Maggie Advey; daughter, Katy (Ryan) Olds, grandsons, Rhys and Chase Olds; brothers, Larry Advey, Don (Sue) and Ron (Kris); sisters, Ruth Mulcahy, Laura (Tom) Corrigan, Rita (Dennis) Kohr, Mari Advey, and Becky (Rich) Merkosky; many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Bob, Tom, John, and Charlie Advey.
Friends will be received 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, on Friday, November 10, 2023, at the funeral home.
