Euna Victoria (Umbarger) Shamblin

EUNA VICTORIA SHAMBLIN, age 81 of Painesville, OH, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at University Hospitals Tripoint in Concord, OH with her family at her side after a brief illness.

Euna was born on June 19, 1944, in laeger, WV and was the daughter of the late George E. Umbarger and Elizabeth Juanita Umbarger.

She was a graduate of laeger High School, laeger, WV. where she was also active in the United Methodist Church. After meeting the love of her life in 1962 and getting married in 1963 she moved to Virginia. She was a Sunday school teacher for the Church of Christ, Vansant, Virginia and Claypool Hill, VA. In the early 2000's the family made their way to Ohio to be close to their daughter and grandsons.

In addition to her parents, Euna is preceded in death by special Aunt Sue Howell, half-brothers, Thomas Howard Pack and James Gary Pack and special bonus daughter, Yvonne Dutton.

Survivors include her husband and love of her life of 62 years, Richard Shamblin of Painesville, OH; daughter Andrea Lester of Painesville, OH; two grandsons; Brandon Lester and wife Tiffany of Painesville, OH; Zachary Lester and wife Ginny of Rome, OH, whom she adored with all her heart; four great-grandchildren, Kahlan Lester, Sydney Lester, Andrew Lester and Kinsley Lester who were the sunshine of her life; one sister, Crystal Riddick of Lebanon, VA and one half-sister, Judy Harvey of Lynchburg, VA, special bonus daughter, Joann Joyce of Richlands, VA and special bonus grand-daughter, Monique Smith of Oilville, VA; and numerous family and friends.

The family acknowledges with deep gratitude the doctors and nursing staff at University Hospitals Tripoint for their excellent care, compassion and respect they provided, especially Jordan Becker, CNP, Nurse Connie, Nurse Amy and Nurse Julianne.

There will be no formal service, but the family encourages family and friends to celebrate the life of their loved one in their own way.
