Faye A. (Grant) Stanziale, age 87, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born on September 26, 1938, in Chardon to Glenn and Eileen (Woodard) Grant.
Faye lived a life filled with laughter, devotion, and unmistakable spirit. She was witty, stubborn in the very best way, and truly full of life. She had a beautiful singing voice and delighted in life’s simple pleasures—warm weather, scenic car rides, birdwatching from her sunroom, and a good glass of Chardonnay. She adored her dog, Vinny, who misses her dearly. Above all else, Faye cherished time spent with her family.
A devoted member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Painesville, Faye was active in the Mothers Group and enjoyed bowling, exercising with her “Exercise Group,” and sharing laughs with friends. She loved attending concerts, especially to see Engelbert Humperdinck, whose music brought her great joy.
Faye met the love of her life, William “Bill” Stanziale, at Ziegler’s Dance Hall—a chance encounter that began a lifelong love story. Together, they shared more than 65 years of marriage, faithfully honoring their vows in sickness and in health with unwavering loyalty, commitment, and love. Their partnership was the foundation of her life and family.
She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by her husband of 65 years, William E. Stanziale; her daughter, Lynne Stanziale of Aurora; her grandchildren, Michaela Eisenbrei (Ryan) and their son, Sven; Sean Tremel; and Lauren Tremel. She is also survived by her son, Rob (Tammy) Stanziale of Middlefield, and their children: Daniel Stanziale (Anne Lackney), Joseph Stanziale (Kelsey) and their son, Alexander, and Matthew Stanziale (Grace Bayzath). In addition, she is survived by her brothers, Glenn “Charlie” (Mic) Grant and Robert (Lora) Grant, and her beloved niece, Debora “Debbie” Cambert, whose kindness, devotion, and loving care brought great comfort to Faye during her final days. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Eileen (Woodard) Grant.
Those who knew Faye will remember her sharp wit, strong will, love of Engelbert Humperdink, and the way she filled every room with both humor and heart. She leaves behind a legacy rooted in love. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Perry Cemetery. A celebration of life gathering will be held immediately following the burial at Perry Family Restaurant, 2736 North Ridge Road, Painesville, Ohio.
