Francis Edward "Frank" Powers

Francis Edward “Frank” Powers, age 78, passed away peacefully in Painesville, Ohio.  He was born July 13, 1947, in Painesville to Francis Powers and Antoinette (Wey) Powers.

Francis worked for First Energy in Investment Recovery for many years.  He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Painesville.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, serving at his church and going fishing.

Francis is survived by his wife Diane (McAleese) Powers; daughter, Joshulynn (Craig) Williamson; brothers, James Powers and David Powers; sisters, Rosemary Lann, Jane Rantz and Christine Long; grandchildren, Micah Williamson and Lilly Williamson; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Edward and Antoinette Powers.

Friends will be received 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.  There will also be calling from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM January 27, 2026, before the funeral service at Zion Lutheran Church, 508 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.  Funeral Services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery.
