Frank James Osewalt

A Memorial Services for Frank James Osewalt and Theresa Joan (McCroskey) Osewalt will be held Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville. Ohio.  Friends will be received 1:00-3:00 PM before the service.

Theresa was born June 9, 1944 in Millville, New Jersey to Juel and Bernice (Delo) McCroskey.  She passed away January 6, 2021.

Frank was born June 11, 1939 in Ruthford, Pennsylvania to Francis and Agnes (Keenan) Osewalt.  He passed away January 10, 2021.

Theresa and Frank are survived by their daughter, Denise Osewalt and grandchild. Nick Mighton.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Barry (Rita) McCroskey and Bryon McCroskey.

Frank is survived by his sister, Joyce Anderson.  He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Raymond J. Osewalt, Mickey Osewalt, Joann Lord, Carol Fyock, June Elersic, Elaine Kosaber, Penny McCoughany, and Connie Kirkland.

Theresa worked for the Painesville City Schools Board of Education for many years.

Frank served in the 82nd Airborne Division of the Army.  He loved his job.  He worked for the Painesville Police Department and was a sergeant for the Lake County Sheriff’s Department until 1989, when he retired.  Over the years he became the Lake County “mower man” and enjoyed fixing mowers and lawn equipment.

Theresa and Frank enjoyed gambling and antiquing.   They were married for 56 years.
