Frank A. Zalek, age 46, formerly of Fairport Harbor, passed away April 24, 2021 at LakeMed Nursing and Rehab in Painesville from complications from A.L.D. Frank was born September 28, 1974 in Painesville to Frank and Adele (Sekki) Zalek.
He was a graduate of Fairport Harding High School, attended Edinboro University and graduated from Kent State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. He enjoyed playing basketball and baseball in high school (under the coaching of Michael Mohner), playing volleyball at Fairport Beach, and he loved the Ohio State Buckeyes and NASCAR racing, especially Jeff Gordon.
Frank is survived by his parents, Frank and Adele Zalek; brother Christopher (Jennifer) Zalek of Madison; nephew, Zachary Zalek of Erie, Pa. and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Frank and Olga Zalek, Dale and Anna Sekki, and uncle, Daniel Zalek.
The family would like to thank Frankie’s uncle Sean for his love, concern, care, and friendship.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Frank’s family.
Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home.
