Franklin "Frank" Robert Francosky

Franklin “Frank” Robert Francosky, age 73, passed away April 30, 2025, at his residence in Painesville Township.  He was born, March 24, 1952, in Painesville to Joseph Paul Francosky and Helen (Azary) Francosky.

Frank was an electronics technician instructor who traveled nationally and internationally to train others on advanced medical imaging systems. He received an associate’s degree from Lakeland Community College and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Myers University. He was a certified LEAN Six Sigma consultant and a member of the Project Management Institute.

Frank loved reading, woodworking, experimenting with new food and drink recipes, watching his grandchildren play sports, playing darts at the Elks Club, black labs, chocolate ice cream, brownies, and making people smile. He enjoyed making his custom-designed woodcraft items and gifting them to family and friends. He loved sharing his vast knowledge of modern and medieval topics and skills with those around him. He looked forward to camping with the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) and participating annually in the Pennsic Wars, even making medieval garb, furniture, and gear.

Frank is survived by his son, Josh Francosky (Rebecca) of Marietta, GA; daughter, Lyndsay Johnson (Rob Johnson) of Madison, OH; sister, Marie Francosky (Peter Ellis); and grandchildren Robby and Brooklyn Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Joseph S. Francosky.

Friends will be received at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home in Painesville on May 6, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a service at 7:00 p.m. Private interment services will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Lake County Dog Shelter.
