Geraldine Ethel Fuller Hausch, 95, of LeRoy Township passed away August 11, 2022. Visiting hours are Friday, August 19, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home in Painesville. A funeral service will be held at Spear Mulqueeny on Saturday, August 20 at 11 AM with graveside services following at Williams Cemetery in LeRoy Twp.
Jerry was born January 29, 1927, to Jeptha and Helen (Rodgers) Fuller. She married Philip Earl Hausch on June 18, 1949. They built a house in LeRoy Twp. where they enjoyed keeping horses, raising their children, and serving their community. Jerry was an avid collector and knowledgeable bird watcher. Jerry was known as "The Face of LeRoy Twp." for her lifetime contributions. Jerry and Phil worked tirelessly in their efforts to restore the Southeast LeRoy Meeting House and LeRoy Town Hall. Jerry was an active member of the Grange, Femme Flares and Garden Club. She held positions as Cemetery Sexton and Town Hall Custodian. She served on the Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals and LeRoy Heritage Association. She was the longest serving member of the Lake County Planning Commission, at 37 years. She was also a Volunteer Docent at the Lake County History Center, Poll Worker, Precinct Committeewoman at Lake County Board of Elections, and Wade Park Hospital Volunteer.
Her passion for history and desire to help others led Jerry to also serve V.F.W. Auxiliary, Cooties, D.A.R., Colonial Dames of the XVII Century, Society of Mayflower Descendents.
Jerry is preceeded in death by her husband, Philip Earl Hausch, sister, Marilyn, and brothers, Gerald and Jepson. She is survived by her sister, Jacqueline, son, Todd Earl Hausch and daughter, Tammy E. Hausch.
