Gloria (Bertone) Mucciarone, age 88, passed away January 11, 2022 at Tri-Point Medical Center in Concord Township. She was born January 3, 1934, in Santa Maria del Molise, Italy to Luigi and Bambina (Marano) Bertone.
Gloria was a devoted member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Painesville.
After emigrating from Italy in 1950, Gloria worked at Mikes Café in Painesville and later, the Rayon Corp in the early 1960s. She retired from working to raise a family of 5 children. She was an expert homemaker. She loved spending time in the kitchen and was an exceptional cook and baker. She enjoyed preparing big Sunday dinners for her family, including outstanding desserts. Her spaghetti, pizza, and other dishes were second to none. Over the years Gloria crocheted countless blankets for family and friends. She loved gardening with her husband and had a green thumb, growing a wide array of vegetables and herbs in her garden which she always shared with her family. She was very giving and you rarely left her house empty handed.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 71 years, John Mucciarone; daughters, Debbie (Rick) Dexter, Norma Gish, Doris (Greg) Spears, Nancy (Russ) Hamilton and son, Paul (Nate) Mucciarone; Grandchildren, Michelle (Heath) Gates, Alyssa Gish, Angela (Brian) Keck, Christina Spears, Hannah (Mike) Zappitelli, Leah (Grayson) Michalski, Ricky Dexter, Tara Hamilton, Alan Hamilton; Great grandchildren, Olivia Keck, Nash Gierke, Mikey Zappitelli, Arla Michalski.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Tony (Judy) Bertone, sister, Addolorata (Tony) Taddeo, and her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 North State Street, Painesville. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.
