Gloria Mae (Lohr) Simmons

Gloria Mae Simmons, age 87, passed away peacefully December 20, 2021. She was born January 6, 1934, in Painesville to William and Elizabeth (Dodge) Lohr.

Gloria worked as a Clerk at the Lake County License Bureau for thirty + years.  She enjoyed bowling, puzzles, quilting, painting, and many other arts and crafts.

Gloria is survived by her daughter, Cindi Smith (Randy Burns); grandchildren, Dylan (Becka) Smith, Apryl (Joseph) Palmer and Jeremiah “J.D.” Reed; great grandchildren, Lizzy Smith and Casen Palmer; brother, Tim Lohr; sister, Jane Burt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Omer L. Simmons in 2009; brother, Roger Lohr; sisters, Janet Harkins and Stella Walters; and her parents.

Family and friends will be received from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Tuesday, December 28th at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.   Funeral Services for Gloria will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday December 29, 2021, at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.
