Gregg W. Swank

Gregg W. Swank, age 70, was the son of the late Donald and Catherine (Ditzel) Swank.  He was born on November 27, 1953, in Hazleton, Pennsylvania and passed away at his home on September 15, 2024.

Gregg worked as a truck driver and snow plow operator in his early career before earning his Engineering degree from Penn State at the age of 37. He was a manufacturing engineer in the welding products industry and retired from Lincoln Electric in 2018.

Gregg enjoyed working on projects around the house and teaching his daughters how to use tools and fix things.

Gregg is survived by his wife, Jane (Young) Swank; daughters, Catherine Swank and Grace Swank; brothers, Donald (Janet) Swank, Mark (Joanne) Swank and sister, Debbie Tipton.

Friends will be received 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Friday, September 27, 2024, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 28th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 250 Bowhall Road, Painesville Township, Ohio.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Hospice of the Western Reserve.
