Hank Bayles Obituary

Hank William Bayles, age 34, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at Lake West Hospital on June 11, 2022.
Hank was a proud 2006 graduate of Riverside High School where he played football.

He was born August 17, 1987. Hank is survived by his parents Dave and Judy (May) Bayles; sister April (Brian) Kiepura; brother Jim (Melissa) Bayles; nephews: Gavin Bayles, Jack and Sam Kiepura; niece Kali Bayles; Grandfather Bill Bayles, best friends: Caitlin Rosborough, Steve Orosz, Ryan Rehmer, Jon Blanock, Chris D’Amico, Josh Burch, Bill March, & Brittany Buddie. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and so many close friends.

Hank was preceded by his grandmother's: Donna Van Allen & Yvonne Miller; grandfather Jack May; aunt Jill Wiegand, and Uncle Andrew May.
Hank was a lover of his friends and family. He gave the best hugs and had the BEST laugh and smile. Hank was a master in the kitchen. His favorite dish to cook was chicken piccata and it was delicious! He loved his mom's beef stroganoff and “hankie-pankies.” Hank loved music including Hank Williams Jr, Toby Keith, and Rush. He also loved the Cleveland Browns and rooted for them no matter what.

Hank loved Put-In-Bay. He worked there as a chef/bartender for many years and he leaves behind a beloved Island family. Hank was even dubbed “Mayor of Put-In- Bay” and had his own t-shirt that said “I got Hank'd at Put-In-Bay". If you ever got “Hank'd” you know.

Hank will leave a hole in many hearts that will never be filled. We ask that you hug your loved ones and let them know how much you love them, because you never know when it’s your time. Life is too short. Hank may have met you as a stranger, but he always took you as a friend, and he looks forward to meeting you in heaven, where friendships never end.
Calling hours will be Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 12pm to 5pm at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home in Painesville. Hank's longtime friend, Reverend Jacob B. Bearer, will open with a prayer at 12:30pm,  followed by a time of remembrance with friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Sub Zero Mission or Wounded Warrior Project, both charities he was very passionate about.
