James A. Ault

James A. Ault, age 75, passed away on January 30, 2026, after a brief battle with lymphoma. He was born June 25, 1950, in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Bartholomew and Norma (Edwards) Ault.

Jim worked for Ricerca for 16 years and finished his professional career in Birmingham, AL. He enjoyed his retirement with his wife, Michellle, travelling to places warmer than northeast Ohio, golfing as much as possible, volunteering with the St. Gabe’s Food Pantry and Friends of the Morley Library. Being “Grandpa” to his four grandchildren and passing his antics on to them brought him his greatest joy. Jim proudly served in the United State Air Force from 1970 – 1974.

James is survived by his wife, Michelle (Emery); his daughter, Lauren Brett (Brendan); his son, Paul (Jennifer Dewlaney); his grandchildren Shelby Ault, Owen Brett, Ryan Brett and Aidan Brett, and his sisters Mary Daugherty and Patty White.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jack Ault.

Friends will be received Friday, February 6th, 2026, from 11:00AM-12:00PM at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord Township, Ohio.  A memorial mass will follow immediately at 12:00 PM.  Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.
