James (Jim) H. Mann, age 80, passed away, July 16, 2021, at his residence in Perry Township, with his wife of 54 years at his side. He was born January 12, 1941, in Whitman, West Virginia to Naaman and Mildred (Bartoe) Mann.
Jim served in the United States Air Force. He worked as a foreman for the Joseph Dyson Company for over 25 years. He also owned and operated Northshore Marine Service and later, At Your Service hauling. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Painesville. Jim was also a member of BPOE Elks Lodge #549, the Ashtabula Rod & Gun Club and the Fairport Rod and Reel Club. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, camping, gardening, grilling, canning, boating, fishing, hunting and spending time with friends and family and his beloved dogs, Bella and the late Certs. He also enjoyed coaching baseball and softball.
Jim is survived by his wife, Terry (Carnovale) Mann; children, James Mann Jr (Tina). and Tracy Stohlman (Peter); grandchildren, Andrea, Tyler and Bailey Mann; and Emma, Evelyn, Lilly, Sam and Max Stohlman; brother, Roger Mann (Lorraine)
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Bonita Mann.
A Mass of Christian Burial for James will be held 9:30 AM, Tuesday July 20th 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 North State Street, Painesville, Ohio. Friends will be received Monday July 19th, 2021, 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.
