James W. Strang of Painesville, age 77, the son of James and Catherine Strang, was born on April 14, 1948, in Houston, Pennsylvania and passed away on March 5, 2026, at David Simpson Hospice house in Cleveland.
He was employed by Euclid Chemical for many years. Jim was a real woodsman, he enjoyed cutting down trees, splitting wood, stacking it and having bonfires.
James made friends everywhere and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed camping and attending car racing events.
He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
James is survived by his wife, Christina (Aloi) Strang; daughter, Sheila Privett; son, David (Cheryl) Strang and 3 grandchildren Nicholas, Natalie and Mya.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Lynn Strang and his parents.
A celebration of life will be held on May 16, 2026, at 61 Sycamore Drive in Painesville beginning at 4 PM.
