James R. "Stymie" Klaus

James R. “Stymie” Klaus, age 67, passed away December 24, 2025, in Painesville Township, Ohio.  He was born April 11, 1958, Painesville to Robert W. Klaus Sr. and Phyllis M. (Roberts) Klaus.

James worked for Quartz Scientific Inc. for many years.

He loved to read.  He was an avid Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed watching and cheering on the Browns, Guardians, Cavaliers and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

James is survived by his brother, Robert W. Klaus Jr. of Fairport Harbor and his sister, Joanne Klaus (William) Vernon of North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Klaus and his parents.

Friends will be received 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville.
