Born in Fayette Pennsylvania to Mr. Jim James & Mrs. Alice (Dolan) Davis. Jane had 9 siblings (Charles, Lawrence, Tom, James, Alice and Mary) who have all passed except Nancy Patridge & Gerry Nusser. Closet of friends Paulette Chandler and Sarah Hartsel.
Jane Graduated in 1950.
The story was our Pap, William H. White noticed a pair of legs on the porch and that was it. Our Pap married them legs and the White Family took off and running.
Jane moved to Ohio. She gave birth to Judith Schultz and Debra Gossett. While raising two kids. Jane was a very busy woman in the home and community.
She worked at the Rayon off of Bacon road untill the plant closed. She spent some time as a teacher and retired after 30 years from the Lake County Department of Utilties in Painesville Ohio. She was a devout Catholic at St. Mary’s in Painesville.
Jane was a life member of the VFW in Fairport Harbor Post # 7754 where she served with the Ladies Auxiliary as President. Some of her duties were cooking for the families, Post 7754, and putting on fantastic Christmas programs.
Among other things she was a housewife, extraordinary cook, baker, artist, crafty, decorator, had mad skills in English, mathematics, accounting and financials. She loved her stylish jewelry, bright red lipstick (Oh the kiss marks), cardinals, hummingbirds, holidays, puzzles, card games, singing, humming, flower gardening, cooking, family, friends and faith. She enjoyed listening to Tony Bennet, Alan Jackson, Kenny G, Bing Crosby and Nate King Cole. Jane loved her many grandkids, great and great-great grandkids.
