Jay Andrew “Andy” Reimann Sr. was born October 8, 1970 in Akron, Ohio to Bernard and Carol Reimann. He passed away unexpectedly on December 2, 2025, at his home in Mentor.
Andy was a Senior Scientist at Sherwin-Williams, where he worked for 28 years. During his career, he was awarded numerous patents and was known for his creativity, innovation, and dedication to his field. He loved science-fiction novels, fishing, football, and spending time at the beach. Andy had a fun-loving spirit and could make anyone laugh, often with one of his famously corny jokes. Above all, he loved sharing vacations, weekends away, and everyday moments with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Nelsy (Tey) Reimann, and their two children, Jay Andrew (Mylencia) Reimann Jr. of Novi, Michigan and Rebekah Reimann of Mentor; his parents, Bernard and Carol Reimann of Bradenton, Florida; and his siblings, Kevin Reimann of Bradenton, Florida and Kim (Tae) Kwak of Newnan, Georgia. He is also survived by his siblings in-law, Allan Tey, Kenneth Tey, Vanessa (Jeremy) Tey Iosue and Thalia Tey; his nephews Jesse Kwak, Jude Iosue, Kameron Victor, and Blake Tey; and his nieces Caroline (Michael) Korb, Kara Tey, Sierra Tey, Marissa Victor, and Nyah Scheucher.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and other beloved family members.
Andy was an exceptional husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Those who knew him will remember his generous smile, his infectious laugh and his generous heart. He was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness and believed deeply in the hope of resurrection. His loss leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who loved him.
Until we meet again, may we all live by his favorite phrase: “Bottom line… good time.”
