Jean Marie (Johnson) Curry

Jean Marie Curry, age 94, passed away July 30, 2024, at Grand River Health and Rehab Center.  She was born November 18, 1929, in Painesville to William Eugene Johnson and Martha (Ely) Johnson.

Jean was a homemaker and loved to cook as well as create many handcrafted items for family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening and bird watching.  She loved spending time with all her grandchildren who were very dear to her.  Many memories were created throughout the years and will be remembered fondly by all her family and friends.

Jean is survived by her daughters, Lorinda (Alan) Wilder and Karen (Don) Platz; sons, Lawrence W. Curry and David (Arlene) Curry; and an abundance of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving are many more nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Curry in 2012; brother, Theodore Johnson; sisters, Marcella Acker, Agnes Loar and Betty Reynard and her parents.

Friends will be received 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.  Services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will be Monday, August 5th at Evergreen Cemetery.
