Jeanne L. Novak, age 82, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2021. She was born November 25, 1938, in Rockford, Illinois to the late Emerson and Frances (Stauffer) Herbsleb.
Jeanne’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren grow, who lovingly called her Nanny. She loved the Lord and served Him in the children’s ministry and was a member of Calvary Fellowship Baptist Church where she was known as Grandma Jeanne to all members.
She was an avid reader who enjoyed reading the conclusions of books first. Nanny was creative and loved crafting with her grandchildren. She loved traveling with her family and shelling on the beaches of Florida.
Jeanne was the beloved mother of Terri (Tom) Pringey, Scott (Kelli) Melan, and Tracy (Jim) Carnovale and the devoted Nanny to her grandchildren, Tori Pringey, Tim (Chelsea) Pringey, Meghan (Thomas) Blakeney, Zach Carnovale, Lyndsey (Nick) Zarbo, and Nick Carnovale, and great grandchild, Dawson Zarbo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Novak, former husband, Larry Melan, granddaughter Tina Pringey, and many beloved pets.
A burial service will be held at Madison Memorial Cemetery, 3055 Arcola Road in Madison, Ohio at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 30, 2021, and all are welcome to attend.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Calvary Fellowship Baptist Church, 727 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 5 PM.
