José was born March 23, 1933 in Baracoa, Cuba to Luis and Margarita (Frometa) Tey. He passed away June 10, 2020 at Tri-Point Medical Center in Concord Township.

José (papi) was the kind of person who could see the humor in any situation and truly lived by the words of one of his all-time favorite songs: “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.”
