Joseph Pappalardo, age 95, passed away February 13, 2025, in Mentor, Ohio. He was born December 25, 1929, in Wendell, West Virginia to Luigi Pappalardo and Rosemarie (McCafferty) Pappalardo.
Joseph served in the United States Navy. He worked for the B & O Railroad and retired. He also owned/worked at Trophy World in Perry/Mentor Ohio where he enjoyed making Trophies.
Joseph enjoyed playing card with the guys. He enjoyed cooking meatballs and spaghetti for family and friends, liked dancing with his wife and friends on a night out on the town with some jazz music. Joe enjoyed telling others a joke or few whether you were family, close friend, or someone he had just met, be ready for a couple jokes before the conversation was over. He owned racehorses that he liked to watch, train, and race. He enjoyed sitting around his shop with friends drinking tea and coffee and telling stories.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Helen Pappalardo; daughters, Serena (Steven) Arko and Tena Pappalardo; sons, Louie (Maria) Pappalardo and Dino Pappalardo; grandchildren, Phillip Samsonas, Joseph Pappalardo and Kristina Pappalardo; great grandchild, Dominik Samsonas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Sarah Sferra, Patricia Shoemaker, Philomena Hoban, Mary Jacob and Betty Pearson.

Friends will be received from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Monday, February 24, 2025, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 PM.
