Joyce A. (Wilbeck) Takacs

Joyce A. Takacs, age 87, passed away August 11, 2022, at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland.  She was born December 28, 1934, in Painesville to Lola (Means) and Laurie J. Wilbeck.

Joyce was a secretary and worked for Lake East Hospital, Broadmoor School, and various doctor’s offices in Lake County.

She enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family.

Joyce is survived by her children, William J. (Pam) Takacs, Joyce M. (Bruce) Hammond, Vivian M. (Harley) Potter-Conrad, Laurie Michael (Danielle) Takacs, Sandra (Greg) Wiley, and Marilyn M. Kadas; sisters, Marilyn L. Buckner, and Patricia R. Thomas; fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Takacs in 2013; granddaughter, Leah Takacs; her parents; brothers, Robert L. Wilbeck, Laurie H. WIlbeck; and son-in-law Stephen J. Kadas Jr.

Friends will be received 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio.   Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 17th at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 North State Street, Painesville.  Burial will be in Perry Cemetery.
