Kathleen (Kite) Petti

Kathy Petti, aged 70, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, after a short illness, on June 10, 2022.

Kathy was born March 29, 1952, in Cleveland, the daughter of Wm. Clyde and Mary (Bolinger) Kite. 

She is survived by her husband of 52 years Thomas Petti Sr. Together they raised 4 children Thomas (Tawnya) Petti, Jr., David (Jamie) Petti, Lisa (James) Porostosky, and Laura (Gary) Raznoff. She and Tom were blessed with 10 grandchildren Chase (Juliana) Petti, Taylor (Steven) Silvestro, Caleb Petti, Caitlyn Petti, Chris (Rachel) Porostosky, Jon (Melissa) Porostosky, Amy (Andy) Sferra, Rachel Chew, Christel Sheffey, and Michael Chew, and 13 great-grandchildren. 

She is also survived by her sister Ruth (Frank) Sabol, brothers Bill (Mary) Kite, Gary (Pat) Kite, Tim (Stephanie) Kite, and many nieces and nephews.

Kathy was known for her sassy sense of humor, and her love for Jesus.  She not only had a big personality, but also a big heart.  For many years Kathy worked as a self-employed house- keeper, and for a short time at the Mentor Schools latchkey program.  She was also giving of her time by sharing her seamstress skills with the Riverside Marching Band.  She enjoyed playing sudoku, keeping a clean home, visiting Berlin & Hartville, and taking cruises with her husband, daughter and son-in-law.  Taking care of and spoiling her grand-dogs Baxter & Norman, was one of her guilty pleasures.  Mostly, Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She was always quick to babysit, pick up a gift for us ‘just because,’ and help us in any way she could.  She was loved and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Janie Cornell.

A private Celebration of Life will be held in her honor.
