Lawrence Ryan

Lawrence Ryan, age, 87, passed away December 28th, 2023, at Grand River Health and Rehab Center.  He was born March 28, 1936, in Mabie, West Virginia, to Austin and Edith (Rowan) Ryan.

He enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife of 68 years, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed golfing, playing the lottery, and going to casinos. He prided himself on his famous "dry" raisin cookies at Christmas.

He retired from Chardon Rubber after 49 years to take care of his family.

Lawrence is survived by daughter, Carol (Al) Christie, son, Richard (Traci) Ryan, daughter, Debbie Elersic. Grandchildren: Kevin (Aimie) Brown, Scott (Kristy) Christie, Jason (Sue) Brown, Jeremy (April) Christie, Donovan (Caitlyn) Ryan, Steven (Courtney) Ryan, Michael Ryan, and Amber Ryan.  Many great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Ryan on December 10, 2023; parents, Austin and Edith Ryan; brother, Bobby Ryan and sister, Dorothy Belknap.

Calling hours will be 11:00 AM-12:00 PM on January 3rd, 2024, at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville, OH 44077. The funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM. The burial will be at Concord Cemetery following the service.
