Linda J. (Franks) Killmeyer

Linda J. Killmeyer, age 67, passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer on January 7, 2022, at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland, OH with her family by her side.  She was born January 17, 1954, in Cleveland, OH to James and Marie (Trotta) Franks. 

Linda graduated from Willoughby South High School in 1972.  She retired as the Placement Director at the Cleveland Institute of Dental & Medical Assistants.  She loved to make a difference in her students lives by helping them achieve their career goals. 

Linda was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and wife.  She was an avid gardener who took pride in making her yard look beautiful. She also loved golfing, mahjong, fine dining, and spending quality time with her family and friends.  Linda always tried to make sure everyone around her was happy and having a good time.  Her positive energy was infectious, and she made everyone close to her feel loved.  She was known by her family and friends to make the best spaghetti and meatballs around, which gave her the nickname Mama Meatball.  Linda wanted her memory to be a happy one.  She wanted to leave an afterglow of smiles when her life was done.  While she will be deeply missed, she gave so many happy and warm memories that will be cherished forever.

Linda is survived by her husband John Killmeyer of Concord Township; son, Jonathan Killmeyer; her mother, sister, Sherry Franks, and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother John B. Franks and her father.     

Linda had requested not to have a memorial service due to the Covid-19 pandemic as she wanted everyone to stay healthy and safe. 

In lieu of sending flowers, the family suggests planting a tree, bush, flower, or plant in her memory.
