Lula Bell Nessar, age 86, passed away December 31, 2023, at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born September 18, 1937, in Flemington, West Virginia to Virgil and Hallie (Phillips) Hauser.
Lula Bell was a bookkeeper and worked for the Cleveland Trust Company for many years. She was also the former owner of Puritan Bakery in Painesville. She was a member Painesville Assembly of God Church and chaired the annual craft fair for over 20 years.
Lula Bell enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, arts and crafts, gardening, and she especially enjoyed the company of her friends. She was especially proud of her “homemade jam”. Most of all, she loved her family and always enjoyed spending time with them.
Lula Bell is survived by her daughters, Lynette (David) Tuikka, Cathy (Jeff) Hartman, Lori (Dan) Ivanovic; grandchildren, Tanya Kruty, Joseph Hartman, Dr. Rachel Hartman, Wesley Ivanovic, and Juliette Ivanovic; great grandchildren, Gracelyn Kruty and Esther Hartman; sisters, Sarah Ayers, Rita Sines, Phyllis Hedrick.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph D. Nessar; her parents; brothers, Virgil Hauser, Charles Hauser, Ronald Hauser, and Philip Hauser; sisters, Deanie Edwards, Norma Moore, Joanne Knight, and Betty Hoffman.
Friends will be received 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Friday, January 5, 2024, at Painesville Assembly of God Church, 10949 Johnnycake Ridge Road in Painesville. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 12:00 PM. Private Burial will take place at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.
